Winners of the ACAP Science Fare donate their awards to support fight against coronavirus outbreak in New York 高中生全力支持纽约抗疫

With the outbreak of the Covid-19 epidemic in New York, severe shortages of medical protective equipment endanger medical staff facing viral infections, the American Chinese Medical Association called for urgent donation to fight against the epidemic, they received a prompt response from community students.

ACAP science fair 2020 semi-finalist, Jierui Wang, an eleventh-grade student from Jericho high school, awardee of the outstanding project in neurology, donated $ 2,000 to purchase medical protective equipment. ACAP science fair 2019 semi-finalist, David Zhou, donated $ 500. Winner of this year’s ACAP science fair Gold Medal, Angela Zhu, a 10th-grade high school student from Jericho, donated all her US $ 1,000 award scholarship to the ACAP Association. After being informed of the New York epidemic emergency, Xingqiao Xu, a Beijing 101 high school student who won the 2019 ACAP International Gold Medal, donated all his prizes of USD 1,000 to the Association through the Eureka International Education Foundation to support the protest.

On behalf of all members, ACAP expressed gratitude to these students for their dedication and support.

美国华人医师协会(ACAP)科学竞赛获奖学生全力支持纽约抗疫

在纽约地区新冠疫情爆发, 各级医疗机结构医用防护用品严重紧缺,医护人员面临被病毒感染的情况下,美国华人医师协会号召并组织各界人士捐款抗疫, 并受到社区学生积极响应。

今年入围ACAP science fair半决赛,脑神经研究杰出项目获得者,杰里科十一年级高中生王杰瑞(Jierui Wang)主动捐款2000美金用于购买医疗防护器材。2019年入围半决赛,研究癌症课题的David Zhou主动捐款500美金。今年ACAP science fair金奖获得者,杰里科十年级高中生朱安琦(Angela Zhu)将她个人所获1000美元奖金全部捐给ACAP协会。 2019年ACAP科学竞赛国际金奖获得者北京101高中学生徐星桥(xingqiao xu)在得知纽约疫情告急后,特通过优里卡国际教育基金会潘东博士将其奖金1000美元全数捐给协会支持抗议。

在此美国华人医师会董事会代表全体会员对这些学生的无私奉献和主动支持表示万分感谢。
