Associate Medical Director
The Associate Medical Director (AMD) reports to the Chief Medical Officer and provides leadership in all areas relating to the clinical operation of the main clinic. The AMD position is approximately 50% administrative/leadership and 50% clinical. Physician Team Leaders are in place for the Adult Medicine, Pediatrics and OB/GYN departments at the main clinic and they report directly to the Associate Medical Director. Direct reports also include the Health Education Manager, Mental Health Providers, Optometrist, Chiropractor, Acupuncturist and other clinical or administrative positions involving the clinical staff.

CompHealth is currently assisting a multi-specialty group in California to search for an internal medicine or family medicine physician. The group serves a large Chinese patient base and seeks someone who speaks either Mandarin or Cantonese. This physician will help grow a new primary care practice. This will be a traditional practice with both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities. The schedule is Monday through Friday with alternating Saturdays and shared call. You will see 15 patients per day to start and that will increase eventually to 20 or more patients per day. You will work in a new office with state-of-the-art equipment as a member of a great group of internal medicine subspecialists and other primary care physicians. The group prefers that you be board certified. You will need an active CA medical license, and CompHealth’s licensing team can help you with the processing and application if necessary.

Outpatient Parenteral Antibiotic Treatment (OPAT) Unit

We encourage all community physicians to make use of the NYHQ OPAT UNIT open 7:30am to 4pm seven days a week, including all holidays. OPAT is under the direct supervision of the NYHQ Infectious Diseases Faculty. We offer an alternative to the outpatient home and short-term rehabilitation administration of IV antibiotics as well as other IV treatments. This is an ideal service for either early hospital discharge or avoidance of hospitalization for ambulatory patients. Services provided include free parking, IV placement and care, coordination of referral services, and communication with referring clinicians. OPAT diagnoses include cellulitis, osteomyelitis, endocarditis, pneumonia, pyelonephritis, prostatitis, abdominal infections, dehydration, anemia, etc...
