Bing Lu, MD, PhD, MBA


Dr. Bing Lu is an attending physician and the medical director at Maimonides Primary Health Service, a multi-specialty primary care clinic of Maimonides Medical Center, in Brooklyn, New York. He is board-certified in internal medicine, and an assistant professor of medicine at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine. Trained in traditional Chinese medicine as well as Western medicine, Dr. Lu is a member of New York State Board for Acupuncture. He is the founder and president of Universal Medical Service, a medical practice that integrates traditional Chinese medicine and Western allopathic medicine, in Staten Island, New York. Dr. Lu earned his M.D. from Nantong Medical College, a M.B.A. from Pace University, and a Ph.D. from Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Lu trained in internal medicine program of Brown Medical School, where he was awarded the prestigious Harvey P. Lesselbaum Memorial Award for distinguished service. Dr. Lu is an elected fellow of American College of Physicians.

Dr. Lu has published in several peer reviewed medical journals, including New England Journal of Medicine, Brain Research, Hepatology, and Human Gene Therapy. Dr. Lu is the chairman of advisory committee of American Association of Chinese Physicians (ACAP), a non-profit physician organization that promotes community healthcare through professional networking and professional development of its member physicians.
